What this site stores

Clock Locations does not have user accounts and does not collect your name, email or location. The list of cities you add and your 12/24-hour preference are saved in your own browser's local storage so they're there when you come back. That information never leaves your device, and you can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

Your time zone is read from your device's settings to show your local time. It is not sent to us.

The visitor count at the bottom of each page is a single running total. To avoid counting you twice, your browser remembers the date it was last counted. No information about you is sent or stored with the count.

Advertising and cookies

This site uses Google AdSense to show ads, which keeps it free. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website and other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.

To learn more about how Google uses data from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalized ads are shown.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit, which pages they view and roughly where they come from (country and city level). Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your browser, device type and the pages you visit. It does not give us your name or email. This helps us decide which cities and features to add.

You can learn how Google uses this data at Google's partner sites page, and you can opt out of Google Analytics on all websites with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

YouTube videos

Some pages show official game trailers from YouTube. The video player only loads when you press play, and it uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. Once you press play, YouTube (Google) may set cookies and collect information as described in Google's privacy policy. Until then, only the trailer's preview image is loaded from YouTube.

Server logs

Like most websites, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested and time of request) for security and to keep the site running. These are not used to identify individual visitors.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will be updated. Questions can be sent to clocklocations@gmail.com.
